We offer two self-guided walking holidays in the Czech Republic. They have been designed by us to take you off the beaten path and through some of the Czech Republic's loveliest countryside. You will find castles, picturesque villages, impressive landscapes, and beautiful nature on our walks. And we custom-make the pack of walks to suit your requirements. We also have holidays which can involve walking.

South Bohemia Walking Holiday

This is a flexible holiday which allows you to explore South Bohemia. You can walk as much or as little as you wish and you don't have to decide in advance. 

Some of the sights on the walks are:
  • the Sumava National Park,
  • Dvici Kamen castle, & Zlata Koruna Abbey,
  • the woods of the Blansky Les Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty & the Klet Mountain
  • Lake Lipno - the largest lake in the country
  • Lake Olsina with its museum of fish-farming 

The package are 3* accommodation in Cesky Krumlov, walks pack, transfers from Prague and the loan of an emergency phone. We can also offer accommodation in Prague as part of the package.

Czech Paradise Walking Holiday

Czech Paradise (Cesky Raj) has many castles, as well as lovely timbered wooden cottages and farms. The variety of landscapes result in a wide-range of flora and fauna. 

Some of the sights on the walks are:
  • Prachovske Rock Town &  Hruba Skala Rock Town
  • Kost Castle, Trosky Castle & Valstein Castle
  • Turnov - a town of gem-cutters
  • Marian Garden - Baroque chapels hidden in the landscap
  • The Plakanek Valley Nature Reserve.  
  • Sobotka historic reserve - traditional wooden houses

Walking in the Sumava National Park 

The Sumava is a major part of a protected forested and mountainous landscape which spans three countries' boundaries sometimes called the "Green Roof of Europe". Protected from development the Sumava is home to many wild animals and birds as well as rare flowers and other flora. We offer walks with local guides as well as self-guided walking holidays. Cottages in the Park are also available for rent.

Walking Tour of Saxon and Czech Switzerland

Starting and finishing in Bad Schandau, Germany, this is a 8-day self-guided circular walk with a medium level of difficulty (total length approx 50 miles). The majority of the tour is in German Saxon Switzerland, but part of it takes in key sights in Czech Switzerland

The walk takes in some of the most impressive rock formations, including the natural rock bridge of Pracicka Brana, and historical sites such as the imposing fortress of Koenigstein.
