Getting to the Sumava
The Sumava is in the south of the country. The closest airport for visitors from the UK is actually Linz in Austria. Shuttlebuses travel from Linz to Cesky Krumlov. Alternatively you can fly to Prague and travel down by car, coach or train. The most direct train route is via Ceske Budejovice and then taking the line via Cesky Krumlov - many trains can carry your bike for you. We can arrange taxi transfers if required. For car hire we recommend using the Carrentals Search Engine to get the best deal.
Getting around the Sumava
A car obviously gives you the freedom of the Sumava, to rent a car please use the search engine to the left of this page to get you the best deal. Cycling and walking can take you places you cannot reach in a car. During the peak summer season there are special buses which transport tourists around the Sumava, some even can transport bikes. Bikes can be rented in the major towns and at some train stations.
