Many folk customs which have died out in the UK are alive and well in the Czech Republic. Different areas have different traditional costumes, dances and customs.

Czech Folk Customs Calendar
- 6th January - Three Kings Day
- Shrove Tuesday - Masopust (Czech Carnival) particularly in South Bohemia and Highlands areas)
- Easter - a major event in the Czech year, with painted easter eggs and flitches
- 30th April - Witches Night and Maypoles
- 28th September - St Wenceslas Day
- 5th December - St Nicholas Eve
